Bibliotheekontwikkelingen in april 2009

Het was druk in april: we hadden het Congres sociale netwerken waar ik live geblogd heb, en daags daarna de Ugame-Ulearn die via Ustream en Twitter te volgen was, wat we met meer dan 20 mensen regelmatig ook deden (“de boeken eruit” riep iemand, dat kwam aan).
Methods For Staying Current and Dealing with Information Overload (presentatie Sarah Houghton-Jan) las ik op de camping, met daarin “work = work and home = home” tja.. ik leer t nooit … Maar dus wel zodra het kon gekampeerd, gewandeld en gefietst -Twente ontdekt: het is daar prachtig- na het koude begin is het voorjaar ineens flink warm.

Bibliotheken en archieven niet gelukkig met uitbreiding auteursrecht (VVBAD) “beslissing van het Europees Parlement om het auteursrecht op geluidsopnamen te verlengen van 50 tot 70 jaar. Deze beslissing hypothekeert erfgoed- en digitaliseringsprojecten en belemmert artistiek hergebruik. Bovenal zal de gewone artiest weinig voordeel halen uit deze verlenging. Vooral supersterren en grote platenmaatschappijen winnen erbij.”
