In Information Research van oktober 2007 (‘Special supplement’: Proceedings of the Sixth International Conference on Conceptions of Library and Information Science—”Featuring the Future“) staat een artikel over het gebruik van weblogs door bibliotheken en bibliothecarissen.
Dan zie je ook meteen het nadeel van dergelijke officiële publicaties: het is een onderzoek uit 2005, in weblog termen uit de oudheid 😉 . Maar in de literatuurlijst staan wel weer diverse items ‘ retrieved’ uit 2007, dat verbaast me dan wel weer: zit daar een automatisch update mechanisme achter of zo?

Conclusions. Libraries utilize blogs in a novel way that allows them to disseminate information to their patrons. Even though there has been a considerable increase in the number of libraries with blogs, further growth can be expected, since as of February 2005 only a minority of the libraries utilized this tool.
