Een grote bibliografische database op het gebied van ‘onderwijs’ is ERIC; the Education Resources Information Center. Eric documenteert 650 tijdschriften, maar je vindt er ook rapporten en boeken: alles bij elkaar zo’n 1,2 miljoen records. Met vaak links naar full-text: meer dan 100.000 full-text PDFs zijn er te vinden.
De resultaten van een zoekactie in Eric zijn vaak verrassend, vooral door de rapporten die je er vindt.

Eric is:

an internet-based digital library of education research and information sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education. ERIC provides access to bibliographic records of journal and non-journal literature indexed from 1966 to the present. ERIC also contains a growing collection of full-text materials in Adobe PDF format, including reports from the What Works Clearinghouse.

Ze hebben een grote collectie microfiches, die ze van plan zijn te gaan digitaliseren tussen 2007 en 2009.
